Long, meditative Hatha Yoga classes, silent seated meditation, inspiring lectures, a supportive and welcoming environment, time to relax in the beautiful nature of Southern Spain… This retreat offers you all of that and more.

 

Over the span of one week you’ll experience a blend of Hridaya yoga, meditation, philosophy and deep connection to nature that gives you a holistic experience of authentic yoga. It’s an invitation to meet yourself on a new level, explore your inner depths, and contemplate life’s most fundamental questions. You’ll emerge rejuvenated and transformed—feeling open-hearted, centered, and joyful and allowing grace to flow more easily into your life.

What Is Hridaya Meditation? 

There is an essential part of you. A place beyond the personality, beyond limitations, beyond suffering, beyond time. A home where you rest in the Infinity of Being. That essence is the Self, the Spiritual Heart. Although you are not and can never be separate from the Heart, that truth hides behind an identification with the ego and its stories. The good news is that it’s possible to transcend this condition. So, what is Hridaya Meditation? It’s a process of deconditioning that leads you back home to the Heart.

 

What Is Hridaya Yoga? 

We’ll practice Hatha Yoga in a contemplative way. We perform physical postures (asanas) slowly and gently, holding them for a while to get the most benefit. The physical practice is integrated with Advaita, the non-dual vision. That means that you are not just stretching the body, you are engaging with it—at every level. While in an asana, your focus is on gaining intimate knowledge of the body and its bio-energies. You observe the thoughts, emotions, sensations, and actions that arise in and around you while remaining non-reactive. In this way, you connect to the essence of your being, the Spiritual Heart

Accommodation

Ananda Forest offers different options for accommodation. We are providing a space that is physically and energetically clean and uplifting.

 

Apart from your selected accommodation, you have access to the beautiful shared living area and gardens.

 

The cabin and glamping tent(s) have all the necessary items provided: a comfortable bed, sheets, blankets, pillows, closets, towel, etc.

Paulina Gostomski

My curiosity towards yoga started as a physical exercise around 2003. However, everything shifted when I did my first 10-Day silent retreat in 2011. Since then yoga, in all its facets, is at the very core of my life and all else revolves around it. I have participated in and taught many silent meditation retreats, yoga modules, yoga teacher training courses and workshops throughout Mexico and Europe.

I lived, taught and learnt in Hridaya Yoga in Mexico for one year, and in France for two years. 

I love to share the depth and light that meditation and yoga have brought into my life. What keeps me enthusiastic is to see the transformation and peace that this way of life brings to people from all walks of life.

 

I have studied with many different teachers, took two 200-hour yoga teacher trainings, and in 2017,  I completed the 500-hour Hridaya Teacher Training Course. My teaching journey started in 2012, but I am forever a student of life. After moving around the globe since 2011, I now live in the beautiful Ananda Forest in Orgiva Spain.

Let food be your medicine!

All meals are included and prepared with great care. We serve healthy, delicious, nutritious, and well-balanced vegan meals (an option for eggs may be available). The ingredients are locally-sourced, where possible organic and home-grown when available. Resulting in nutritious raw, vegan, and vegetarian dishes.

Our chef will show you how to give yourself what you are craving, without giving in to unhealthy habits. For example, sharing delicious raw cake recipes and healthy raw chocolate and probiotic foods.

We are happy to accommodate the needs of guests with allergies to particular foods and often prepare gluten and dairy-free meals – all served with love!

We can see this retreat as a wonderfully gentle way to cleanse the mind, body, and spirit, your body will be renewed in several ways. Please write to us if you have any special needs so that our chefs can take care of.
